Welcome back to our quarterly roundup of corporate news, product announcements and events.

Q1 2008 has been chock-full of exciting new developments! Following the January 29 acquisition of our parent company Sagem Communications by The Gores Group, Sagem-Interstar now sports a brand new corporate logo and graphic identity. We also created a new "Can UC what's missing?™" slogan, which is gradually echoing through our promotional materials. It reminds organizations that "FAX" still prevails, and that Fax over IP (FoIP) notably is gaining recognition as a strategic component in unified communications (UC) intrastructures for reducing costs, as well as improving workflow, collaboration, and ROI.

As our coverage of the UC space soared to even greater heights at the beginning of Q2 (see our Cisco Partner Summit highlight below), you will see an upward trend of stories illustrating how Sagem-Interstar's XMediusFAX server solutions for IP networks are perpetually being deployed as a key component in UC and converged IP infrastructures such as those of Cisco, Avaya, and Alcatel-Lucent.

Sagem-Interstar Launches Cisco AXP Fax Solution

On April 10, at the Cisco Partner Summit in Hawaii, Sagem-Interstar launched an industry-leading IP fax solution for the Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR).

As a result:

• A new Linux version of XMediusFAX becomes the world's first fax solution to run inside a Cisco ISR over the newly introduced Cisco Application eXtension Platform (AXP) aimed at empowering enterprise branch offices,
• Sagem-Interstar is named a Cisco AXP partner within the Cisco Technology Developer Program.

We're moving!

As of May 12th, Sagem-Interstar will be located at a new, completely renovated location, closer to the downtown Montreal core. This new location also helps us to be more environmentally responsible as an enterprise, as we will all have direct access to public transportation.
