Midwest Cisco Gold Reseller Gives XMediusFAX® a 5-star Rating!
The Client
Netarx, Inc., based in the Detroit, Michigan area with four regional offices in the Midwest, helps companies design, build, manage and optimize customized, business-centric, network communication solutions that are strategically tailored to meet an organization’s specific business goals and requirements. Netarx combines leading-edge technologies with a comprehensive understanding of its customers’ business, enabling them to gain competitive advantage, increase productivity and realize immediate financial returns through innovative ideas and proactive network services.
The Challenge
As a very successful network solutions company, Netarx depends on fax – it is critical for its fine-tuned business processes. However, its fax server product – which employed the older T.37 store-and-forward fax delivery method – caused numerous quality and productivity problems. For example, users had to manually convert and organize their fax file formats. It became obvious that the T.37-based product was impeding productivity and affecting the bottom line. Netarx quickly set out to find a new fax server that would:
- Resolve their fax quality and productivity issues
- Be software-only and boardless to simplify their fax infrastructure, while saving money and providing single-vendor peace of mind
- Integrate seamlessly with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) to provide full VoIP-based unified communications
- Support their Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Server 2003 for administration ease
- Be simple to install, learn and customize
The Solution
As a savvy communications company, Netarx researched the fax server market and briefly considered another well-known fax server product. However, it failed to meet several major requirements: it wasn’t Cisco compatible (i.e., Netarx would not be able to offer it to its Cisco customers) and it required expensive fax boards, which might lead to multi-vendor support headaches.
Netarx quickly identified the certified Cisco-compatible XMediusFAX Enterprise as the best-of-breed IP fax server that would perfectly integrate into its T.38 Cisco VoIP infrastructure and leverage its Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 implementations.
The XMediusFAX software installation and integration with Netarx’s Cisco and Microsoft products went so smoothly that Netarx didn’t even make one support call to Sagem-Interstar. After only 15 minutes of training, Netarx employees were faxing from their desktops courtesy of feature-rich and field-proven XMediusFAX Enterprise.
Results and Benefits
Since the ultra-smooth XMediusFAX implementation, Netarx has centralized all its fax services, eliminated phone lines, lowered long-distance costs, reduced paper consumption, increased its fax productivity by 20%, and saved more than $10,000 by eliminating the cost of multiple servers.
Sandy Kronenberg, Netarx’s Chairman & President, is thrilled: “With our XMediusFAX FoIP T.38 solution, lots of things are customizable, automatic and easier. Sending faxes is so intuitive that we just select, click or drag, and paste the files. The quality and clarity is much better too. As a result, our fax productivity is much higher.” In a word, Netarx says that XMediusFAX is “excellent.”
As strong proof of its utter confidence in XMediusFAX’s powerful features and reliability, Netarx will bundle Sagem-Interstar’s award-winning fax server solution with upcoming VoIP rollouts. Netarx can now:
