XMediusFAX® Awarded “Best of Show” at Internet Telephony® Conference & Expo Miami 2003

XMediusFAX Singled out for Innovation and Quality

Montreal, Quebec, February 21, 2003

Interstar Technologies, Inc. announced today that XMediusFAX® has been selected as a ”Best of Show” winner at Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC™)’s INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference and Expo, Miami 2003. The show, held last month at Miami’s Hotel Inter-Continental, is widely considered the #1 global event focused on voice, video, facsimile and data convergence.

XMediusFAX® is a revolutionary Fax-over-IP server solution that fax-enables enterprise networks without the need for expensive computer-telephony interface boards or leased analog lines. XMediusFAX® transmits faxes directly over IP networks, using existing Voice-over-IP gateways.

Keeping fax transmissions digital over IP networks for the greatest possible distance, XMediusFAX® intelligently re-uses VoIP infrastructure and virtually eliminates fax-related long-distance toll charges, which typically add up to 25% of enterprise communications costs. XMediusFAX® also integrates directly into existing enterprise messaging systems, allowing users to receive faxes directly in their email inboxes, and with e-commerce solutions for EDI, faxback and transaction processes.

“We’re extremely pleased that XMediusFAX® has again been selected as Best of Show,” stated Interstar President and CEO, Guy Blanchette. “XMediusFAX® is changing the face of the fax industry and this award is a fitting tribute to the hard work our leading-edge research and development team put in getting this product to market.”

The Best of Show awards emphasize technology innovation and product feature sets. Forward-looking products that will aid in the development of the next generation of VoIP solutions were also awarded. Each winner submitted a thorough application and displayed and demonstrated their product on the INTERNET TELEPHONY® Expo show floor.

A full list of the winners will appear in the April 2003 issue of Internet Telephony® magazine.
